A chronicling of my learning to draw more actual-deinonychosaur-looking raptors,
in addition to the piles of Jurassic Park/World fanart I also make. These are from 2018 and 2019.

All are digital art drawn in FireAlpaca and Paint Shop Pro.

They had wings
December 2018

First attempt, a bit too shaggy but not too shabby.
The eponymous wings redrawn in April 2019.

Plumage inspired by my favorite extant dinosaur, goldcrest (Regulus regulus).

A shouty girl. Perhaps just drove off someone encroaching on
her territory and is screeching good riddance at them.

Muru & Nuppu
April 2019

Pink fluffy raptor lesbians for my birthday.

Whether or not sexual dimorphism is a thing with their species (and if it is, the males aren't blue or anything,
they're an even brighter pink), these two are both female, and they are dinomarried.

The Problematic Fave
May 2019

Feathered redesigns of four versions of Troodon found in the Jurassic Park/World franchise
(left to right: Jurassic World: The Game's already feathered though still slightly altered one, Jurassic Park: The Game,
LEGO Jurassic World, and Jurassic World Evolution), or just some Troodons/troodontids heavily inspired by JP/W.
Status as either fanart or original art appropriately dubious.

Despite that my raptor art is mostly dromaeosaurids even of the feathered kind, Troodon formosus has been
my favorite dinosaur since I was a kid. It was scaly when I first learned about it, and now it's a birb
with teeth and some extra claws, and I love it all the more for it.

Dinosaur classification changes up all the time, and whether Troodon is actually a valid genus is currently under debate,
with its specimens being reassigned to Stenonychosaurus and Latenivenatrix, but they can be my favorites, too/instead, then.
Troodontids in general could probably share the spot on the podium, but you've got to have an answer for when someone asks
what's your favorite dinosaur (a criminally rare occurrence). They can take turns.

Another kind-of JP/W fanart, this time a quick feather makeover of JWE's Deinonychus.

Pyrykka
August 2019

A small big murderbird having a frighten.

What's the cause of this upset - an unexpectedly self-defense-capable prey? An unexpected bug?
Inspired by and partially referenced from watching someone's Saurian gameplay as a subadult Dakotaraptor,
so this is still a raptor of both pretty substantial size and also substantial level of foolishness.
A young animal's life is mainly made up of situations ranging from dangerous to undignified.
