Miscellaneous dinosaur toys I've repainted:
Victoria
July 2019
Tidied up the grey JW Legacy Collection raptor's factory
scratches and stains,
painted claws, and gave her
Subject V-2's
snout scars.
Seen unpainted at
my first raptor repaints'
photoshoot, and the
blog
post detailing their painting process.

Collecta T. rex
July 2019
Touched up the paint job on the figure's mouth, so the white
paint of the teeth is restricted to the actual teeth.
That blurry photo in the middle is the only one I took before painting, but
hopefully the problem is apparent in it.
JW Dilophosaurus mini
August 2019
Added detail to the face and more
patterns on the body, and apart from the usually
folded
away frill, made the colour scheme more camoflaged, with the idea of this being a
nestling.
How exactly the JP/W
Dilophosaurus uses its frill isn't 100% clear, especially since the real
Dilophosaurus never had such a thing.
Bright, flashy things like that tend to be for mating displays on birbs, but the
JP/W Dilo seems to use this for intimidation
possibly in addition to impressing a mate, so I'm leaving the frill bright on
the nestling. Maybe for babies it's a last resort for
when hiding and running away from bigger predators fails, to startle the nest
robber just long enough for the baby Dilo to get away,
or to act as a warning of being too poisonous to eat. Whether eating a Dilo
nestling could actually poison a predator or whether the babies
are already venomous enough to effectively defend themselves by spitting is
another thing, but an empty threat is better than nothing,
and they are part frog, which at least are known to use bright colours as
a poison warning defense.

Safari Ltd. Velociraptor mini
November 2019
Painted claws and gave the mouth and snout more detail, so the
raptor looks like it has white feathers on its face
with the lips and tip of the snout being unfeathered, rather than having a
completely bald face.

Meripihka
June 2020
A later addition to my JP Velociraptor pack. She is one of Survivor's grown-up chicks, and Tumult's mom.
I gave the yellow and brown JWFK Battle Damage raptor some
more stripes, painted her claws, and touched up her teeth a bit.
I also painted scars around the battle damage feature. Having a huge open wound
on her side would be a bit much,
but now the borders of the flap covering it are a set of old slash wounds.
To go with
her name, I added spots of yellow-orange glitter glue to represent beads of
tree resin stuck to her claws and scales.

JW Carnotaurus and Safari Ltd. T. rex minis
August 2020
Painted mouth, claws (only foot claws on the carno), and
nostrils on both.
Gave the rex a lighter underbelly, dark along the back and on the limbs, and
stripes.

Safari Ltd. Psittacosaurus mini
June 2021
Fully painted except for the eyes and the yellow around them,
added face spikes with paint blobs,
cleaned up extra plastic from the beak,
and glued bristles cut from an old paint brush onto the tail.

Walking With Dinosaurs Troodon mini
September 2022
Partial repaint to add detail to face and toeclaws
of an already prettily painted figure.

Littlest Birdie
March 2024
Is... this a raptor figure repaint?
Little Birdie from Metroid, counts as a space raptor as far as
I'm concerned, though the more
raptory features of hooked beak and prey-capturing talons don't appear until the
species' adult stage.
